Agent Employment Opportunities

Date: 16 Apr 1997 17:25:45 U Hello all, First off, thanks to everyone who participated in the exchange on security in mobile agent systems, and/or mailed me. I'm not sure that I'm any the wiser for it, but it's raised some interesting points for further investigation! I hope we can take this a bit further.... As I said, the question of security is IMO the biggest stumbling block for the widescale uptake of mobile agent technology. We may be caught between the Scylla and Charybdis; damned if we are left behind while our competitors forge ahead with agent systems, and damned if the security of our customers' systems and data are violated! That's why my colleagues and I at BT Labs are looking at future security in mobile agent systems. We're examining current implementations and threats, attempting to foresee future events, and examining some of the ways networks might be defended against adapting, mobile, intelligent attackers. We're particularly eager to expand by recruiting experienced professionals who have .... well, a slightly off-beat approach to life in general. If you feel you'd like to work with us, we'd be very interested to hear from you!! Get in touch for further details; we've got a number of vacancies which need filling now.
