Subject: research position at Daimler-Benz
The Intelligent Systems Laboratory at the Daimler-Benz Research and
Technology Center carries out research in artificial intelligence with
an emphasis on applications to transportation and information access.
Ongoing projects focus on the design, implementation, and evaluation
of intelligent systems that:
- recommend useful destinations, routes, and information to users
in the automobile environment and build models of those users'
preferences over the course of interaction;
- refine and annotate digital maps using trace data from a high-
resolution global positioning system, drawing on techniques
from theory revision.
We have an opening for a PhD-level researcher with experience in machine
learning and/or intelligent assistants to contribute to these efforts.
We are looking for someone with broad training in artificial intelligence
who is excited about incorporating ideas on advisory systems and machine
learning into prototypes that solve real-world problems.
If you are interested in this position, please respond by email to
langley@rtna.daimlerbenz.com with a summary of your experience and/or
your resume.
