Weâre conducting a search for a major software development company
that is looking to expand their Internet technologies group. They
have a new facility in Redwood Shores that they need to staff up, and
are looking for strong team players and excellent engineers.
Knowledge Engineer
Objective:
Design and implement intelligent agent technology to support web-based
access and integration of enterprise-wide heterogeneous information
sources that include legacy applications and other web documents.
Skills Required:
Education:
Candidates must have relevant academic training (preferably an
advanced degree in computer-related discipline) and a minimum of three
years of related real-world experience.
*Prior experience in AI, knowledge engineering, and object-oriented
software development, with an emphasis on agent architectures, DAI,
and rule-based programming.
* Extensive experience with CLIPS-based systems and C++ is required.
* Experience with Java, KQML, Windows NT, Unix, HTTP, CGI, and HTML is
also desirable.
Description:
Work on projects that entail the design and implementation of Internet
products that integrate software agent technology with other AI
technologies for access, retrieval, filtering, routing and navigation
of large-scale distributed information sources (Internet and
intranet), and for digital data deliver (e.g., SGML, HTML, Java).
Project areas include:
á Distributed information retrieval, integration and navigation
through a multi-agent system.
á The use of cooperating, adaptive, autonomous agents, and the use of
supporting technologies such as ACL/KQML, Java, etc.
á Real-time machine translation, natural language understanding, and
planning
á Rule based and case-based reasoning techniques
á Machine learning in information access/retrieval, machine learning
of user profiles, and multi-agent learning
á Intelligent interface agents
