Project

The evolution of agent-based technology in the 90s opens up great
challenges and perspectives for networked information retrieval and
information management markets. Software agents take the role of smart
assistants in an information economy: searching, retrieving, analysing,
sharing, notifying, and routing information on the users' behalf.
You will be responsible for the design and implementation of cutting-edge
information and knowledge management software algorithms and solutions.
These solutions are part of an integrated suite of agent-based knowledge
management products and range from personalized single-user tools up to
industrial strength multi-user client-server systems. So if you have
strong interest and capabilities in developing web-based information and
knowledge management software using state-of-the-art object and agent
technologies, and if you would like to work in an innovative team within
a creative commercial environment, then this job is for you.

Qualifications
---------------------
M.Sc. Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years
development experience.
Skills
--------
- Demonstrable experience designing and developing advanced web-based
information management (discovery, retrieval, filtering, and/or analysis)
solutions - Familiarity with adaptive, probabilistic, statistical and/or
linguistic based searching and indexing techniques - Java or C++
programming - Excellent communication (verbal, written) skills -
Familiarity with OOAD, HCI, machine learning, and software agents
desirable but not mandatory
